This is a song from a serial drama that just finished airing on channel 8.
the drama is about 3 couples facing problems in their lives and how they overcame it.
there was this particular couple that faces a lot of problem. i think they were being played by tay ping hui and wong bi ren or something. they married each other because of shotgun pregnancy and throughout their marriage, they had very little open communication and tay ping hui's mother always add fuel to the fire.
They always threaten each other with divorce. THen one fine day, tay's ex came back. She was 'gentle, supporting, nice' in short everything a guy 'so called want' from a girl. but of course it's all act out. but in any case, he got involved with her and wong found out and they really divorced.
well of course everything worked out well in the end. they forgive each other and it's one big happy family again.

but there was this scene that set me thinking. it was the night tay went to find the other girl after a big fight with wong. wong was very worried about the safety about tay and couldn't sleep the whole night. but tay enticed by the words of the girl went to bed with her. and the background music (if i m not wrong) is this song.

In a relationship, we always wonder if the other party would be there for us. would you be there to cheer me up? would you play with me when i m happy? would you say i love you? would you die for me? Sound very romantic right? but i m quite sick of this mindset. Why can't we ask would I be there? If I am the composer of this song, I would change all the you to I and the I to you. We expect so much from the other party that we fail to ask ourselves what about us to the other party? Would I be there to die? Would I be there to cheer him up?

By saying this I am not saying I am not guilty of committing what i just say. but I just feel that if so many we really realize this maybe we will be happier in many of the relationships we have with our parents, spouses etc.

Right now, i m in a mess. every step i take takes so much strength out of myself. but i need to rebuild God's house in me first .
