I was reading the biography of Smith Wigglesworth online. He did many miracles as many of us know. He raised a total of 14 dead, healed many and all he needed to do is to walk past the people and they would fall be convicted by the power of the Holy Spirit and be saved. But at the end of the day i only really remembered a part vividly.
maybe cause i m a girl, more in tune to love story?
Polly (his wife) unexpectedly died in 1913, and this was a real blow to Smith. He prayed for her and commanded that death release her. She did arise but said "Smith - the Lord wants me." His heartbroken response was
" If the Lord wants you, I will not hold you".
She had been his light and joy for all the years of their marriage, and he grieved deeply over the loss.
All great men of God are also great lovers.
At his wife's grave he felt like he wanted to die too. The Lord asked him to get up and he replied, "Only if You give me the anointing of my wife and me to preach the gospel."
I am so touched.
Hello, I am basically a gal who loves God, her family and of course her dear dear Clark. Hmm not to forget my friends too!
Currently in the process of finding out what she really wants to do for her life and prays that everyday is a good day with all her loved ones. :)
