Nowadays family happiness is exploding in City Harvest Church. This is because their senior pastor Pst Kong is starting on a new series of sermons on Making Marriage Work. His sermons made his church members realised how to make a marriage work through the ways of God.
Well, we are now seeing explosion attendance ever since the whole marriage seminar started and this is so for a very good reason. The sermons are awesome. I mean i really learn a lot on how to build a good marriage and i really look forward to all the sermons that are coming up.
Some important truths that i learn so far about marriage
: A happy, harmonious n peaceful marriage pleases and is in the will of God
: Next to God, the relationship with your spouse is above all other relationships
: A man and a woman must learn to leave all the other relationship esp parental n cleave to each other
: A wife is only submissive to her husband n NOT to all men
: A wife must love and esteems her husband above all other people n things
: Vice versa for the husband and the multi-roles a husband needs to play
: Learn to live peacefully with ur in-laws so that they do not become out-laws!
: Sex is a duty, something that is enjoyable, in the will of God and most imptly something that expresses the total unconditionaly love you have for your spouse.
: But only within the realm of marriage.
only 6 lessons and i have already learn so much. make me look forward to my marriage. A friend once asked me before are you for early marriage? i thought about it n said, 'y not?'. if you have not found 'The One' yet, dun give in! resists all temptations to go into a relationship for the sake of having one. But if you have found the right one, one who is worthy of all your love, then dun hold back. i used to think that girls should learn to hold back. but God told me one day, learn to live your live as if today this moment is your last moment. That means to freely express what i really wan to say n do. N if you have found the right one, you just can't wait to share your life with him or her.
